The Messika Maison wedding collection features everything from the most classic jewelry to the most daring designs. All our women’s engagement rings are made in our Parisian workshop by our master jewelers. In order to choose your diamond solitaire, you should consider characteristics such as the alloy, the size of the stone and the setting. Here’s everything you need to know

1. What precious metal and gold colour should you choose?

At the request of its customers, the Maison offers models in 18K gold together with precious and resistant materials that will allow your diamond engagement ring to stand the test of time. Messika also offers different gold colours for the creation of your diamond jewelry:

18K yellow gold: the ultimate precious metal. Classic and resilient, this natural gold colour retains its shine and doesn’t fade over time.

18K white gold: renowned for its understated, elegant, timeless and sophisticated look, this colour of gold is perfect for everyday wear. You’ll never be tired of it.

18K pink gold: a more modern and original version. Pink gold captivates with its soft, shimmering appearance and is perfect for all skin tones, as it provides a touch of warmth.

Messika can also produce your creations in platinum, a metal renowned for being both discreet and resilient to the tests of time and life.

2. What type of setting should you choose?

Would you prefer an all-gold, two-thirds pavé or all diamond ring? The decision is entirely a matter of taste and style. It’s up to you to choose the setting you like best, from a minimalist to a more rock-like version. But, remember that the gold or two-thirds pavé ring designs have the advantage that they can be cut to size. Depending on your preferences, our advisors will be able to guide you through our various creations.

3. What diamond should you choose?

Each diamond has its own specific characteristics. The 4Cs (cut, colour, clarity and carat weight) are the four universally used standards for assessing the quality of a diamond. From a round-cut to a pear-cut, cushion-cut, emerald-cut or marquise-cut, each type of diamond cut possesses its own unique beauty. Find out the characteristics of these different cuts so that you can choose the one that will perfectly complement your hand:

Brilliant: this is the most common diamond cut but also the one that reflects light best. Made up of 57 facets, it gives the stone an incomparable shine.

Emerald: the graphic and modern rectangular shape provides a sophisticated look. The lines on the sides follow the same direction as your fingers, while specifically accentuating your ring finger.

Cushion: timeless and classic with soft, rounded edges that no other cut can match. If you love the colourful and unique play of light from a diamond, you will certainly fall in love with a cushion-cut diamond engagement ring.

Pear: elegant and incredibly feminine, like the brilliant-cut diamond, it has 57 facets and a unique sparkle. This type of stone cut is perfect for those looking for a soft, attractive shape with a poetic touch.

Other criteria such as colour, clarity and carat weight also come into play when choosing your engagement ring. For more information, visit our 4Cs page.
